A pair of 19th-century English brass candlesticks, now living their best second life as lamps. The double-helix barley twist is pure theater—elegant, deliberate, and just a bit showy in the best way. The brass has aged into a soft, burnished gold that catches light without trying too hard. We had them converted with a nod to form and function: silk-wrapped twisted chocolate brown cords, wired with in-line dimmer switches, because glow matters. The new clip-on shades are graphic black-and-white ikat—sharp, tailored, and unapologetically patterned. It’s a combination that feels both dressed-up and undone, as if they’ve traveled through time and picked up a bit of edge along the way. Every detail hits its mark: the twist, the patina, the contrast of old brass with new pattern. Nothing precious, nothing fussy—just a great pair that knows exactly who they are.
