Dutch design has long favored restraint over spectacle, but few contemporary designers understand the power of silhouette quite like Bart van Bekhoven. Working from the Netherlands, van Bekhoven has built a reputation around deeply architectural furniture that balances severity with comfort, creating forms that feel both monastic and sensual.

This set of eight dining chairs captures that tension beautifully. Fully upholstered in warm cognac leather and black leather-wrapped legs, each chair has a sculptural, almost tailored quality, sharpened by a contrasting black leather welt tracing every edge. The backs rise in a subtle peaked form, while the arms sweep outward with a controlled flare that gives the chairs an unmistakable stance.
