Pair of Fallow Deer Antler Sconces

Pair of Fallow Deer Antler Sconces
Constructed from a dramatic assemblage of fallow deer antlers, these Adirondack-style sconces belong to a uniquely American tradition born in the sporting camps and great wilderness lodges of the Northeast. Every tine, sweep, and broad palmate crown was shaped by nature long before it became part of this composition. The result is wonderfully untamed, yet surprisingly elegant.
Two candle arms emerge from the antlers of each sconce almost by accident, as though discovered rather than designed. Their silhouettes climb the wall with the confidence of tree branches reaching toward sunlight.
You don't buy these because you need light. You buy them because some part of you still believes a trout stream, a cedar canoe, and a week beyond the reach of telephones remain among life's greatest luxuries.
