Pair of 19th Century Spanish Tables

Pair of 19th Century Spanish Tables

$14,500.00

These are the kinds of tables designers spend years looking for and never find. Nineteenth century Spanish furniture occupies a category all its own. Less concerned with ornament than its French or Italian contemporaries, it relies on proportion, material, and craftsmanship to make its point. These tables understand that language fluently. The tops are each cut from a single plank of walnut, allowing the grain to take center stage, while the beautifully turned legs introduce just enough movement beneath. Between them, simple scrolled wrought iron spandrels provide a subtle note of contrast, dark and graphic against the warmth of the wood.

There is very little decoration here, which is precisely the point. The drama comes from proportion, silhouette, and age. Every curve feels intentional. Every surface carries the evidence of a century well lived.

Place them beside a bed and they become the room's anchor. Flank a fireplace and they establish symmetry without stiffness. Set them opposite one another in a long hallway and suddenly the entire house feels more collected, more worldly, more certain of itself.
